Stan's Original series, "Ten Pound Poms," will premiere on Sunday, May 14. In anticipation of its release, some of the cast members including Michelle Keegan, Faye Marsay and Warren Brown, along with creator Danny Brocklehurst, sat down with 9Entertainment to talk about the upcoming season and their personal connections to the story.

When asked about his motivation for creating "Ten Pound Poms," Danny explained his fascination with exploring themes of escape, starting over, and prejudice. He shared how he became captivated by the real-life experiences of Ten Pound Poms after reading an eye-opening book on the subject. The idea of turning those experiences into a television series appealed to him immediately.
Danny also highlighted what a refreshing change it would be to create a show set in a time before mobile phones and the Internet, given the dominance of modern technology in today's television landscape.
